Luxuriously positioned by the coastline in the heart of Rye on Victoria’s much-loved Mornington Peninsula, the Artisan 56 is one of our most spectacular display homes to date. With its Pacific façade, soaring voids, and coastal-meets-contemporary flair, this home is a five-star example of how clever design and craftsmanship can come together in harmony.
Step through the front door and you’ll be greeted by a light-filled living zone set beneath a dramatic atrium, perfectly capturing those sweeping seaside views and Metricon’s signature emphasis on indoor-outdoor living. Add four indulgent bedrooms - each with their own ensuite and walk-in robe - and you’ve got a sanctuary designed for elevated coastal living with plenty of room to retreat, unwind, and entertain.
So how does a dream home like this come to life? We spoke with the creative minds behind the Artisan 56 to find out.

Senior Display Designer – Zed Mihajlovic
Senior Display Designer Zed Mihajlovic brings a wealth of experience and refined design instincts to every display home he works on. “We’ve got a really talented and experienced team here,” Zed says. “Everyone brings something to the table, and that collaboration is what really elevates the final result.”
When it came to designing for Rye’s coastal setting, Zed’s approach was all about embracing the surroundings. “Large windows and doors bring in natural light and create that sense of connection to the outdoors. Even the walk-in robe in the master suite has skylights - it’s those small details that add something special.”
One of Zed’s favourite design features is the floating staircase in dark timber, which adds warmth and drama as you move through the entry. “It’s a striking moment, and it sets the tone as you make your way to the central living zone,” he says.
